I came to Santiago en route to Buenos Aires and expected to just have a rest and move on, especially since several people had told me there wasn´t much to see here. Instead, I stayed extra days and had a wonderful time, largely due to Adda and Luis.

They have been helpful with advice and suggestions, shared their lovely casa and their lives, left me to myself when I wanted quiet and included me in their family when I wanted company.
I can`t thank them enough. I especially enjoyed their insights into the Chilean culture and political environment. The room was great, and I loved the big, deep bath. And the view of the Andes from the balcony and garden. Thanks again, Adda and Luis. See you when I come back this way.

Casa Newen Bed and Breakfast was one of the highest points of our trip to Chile. Luis and Adda are both great people and really made us feel very comfortable. The house itself and all of its facilities are very nice, everything seems to have been carefully thought.
I am sure next time we get back to Santiago we will stay in Casa Newen again. Also, we are now references about the B&B in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Above all, we enjoyed the company of Luis and Adda. All of the best for you two. Hopefully we will meet again soon.

I have had a three weeks sojourn from the mean streets of Washington DC. “Su casa” is very warm. My Spanish is rusty but it is music to me. From Chiloe to “San Pedro de Atacama” and other areas as well. As you, I have respect for the indigenous people as well.
The pre-Columbian museum was a dream! I looked in the mirror this morning and realized that the stress has disappeared from my face! And my sojourn to San Pedro was a dream as “La Chascona”.
The young woman I met in Bellavista who makes jewelry and her indigenous boyfriend were great joy to talk with. And Mr Neruda as well – to see his Novel Prize was incredible, and then to find that the tour guide is a conductor and a composer! So many treasures, “con” Casa Newen!!

Today we are leaving for Easter Island after a very nice stay in Chile. Already the first day we came, we got a lot of information of Luis.
